RSS is a way of grabbing news and information automatically and arranging it on your own site, My Yahoo, My MSN, Windows Live.com (Beta), or similar 'make your own' pages, or having stories delivered into your e-mail programme, or even straight onto the desktop of your computer.
It's a very simple way of personalizing the internet for you, cutting down on searching time and making it easy to stay right up to date.
Many news sites offer RSS feeds from a range of news, sport, and entertainment channels, so you can now have the latest headlines, sports news, movie reviews, even competitions, as soon as they're published. Updates are automatic, and they're absolutely free!
